Workshop Summary

As part of the new Conditions of Participation, CMS has mandated each agency have a data driven Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) program in place. In this one day class, participate in an interactive session that will assist your agency in the QAPI process, how to obtain data driven initiatives, involve your Governing Body, how to complete PIPS and put measures in place to have a successful program. Bring your agency Casper, HHCAHPS reports for dissection of YOUR agency outcomes.

Program Goals

At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Participants will be able to identify quality care.
  • Participants will be able to differentiate between the various reports available and what information is gained from each.
  • Participants will learn how to analyze the different reports available to help guide the development of their Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Plan
  • Participants will develop take away tools to get their agency QAPI program started
  • Participants will learn methods to manage the QAPI program to gain the most benefit

Instructor

GriffinJ’non Griffin, RN MHA, HCS-D, HCS-H, HCS-C, is the president of Home Health Solutions, LLC, and a nationally recognized speaker with over 30 years of home health experience. J’non has experience as a field nurse, supervisor, quality assurance director, staff development and appeals coordinator, and chief operations officer. Her responsibilities have included risk management, acting as compliance officer, development of policies and forms, survey compliance, appeals of Medicare denials, writing Corrective Action Plans, start-ups of parent and branch agencies, consulting with agencies on a variety of subjects and education of staff.                                             

Who Should Attend? This workshop is best suited to individuals who have a minimum of 1 year experience in home health management and operation of an established Medicare certified agency.  

Continuing Education

Attendance for the entire program is required to earn Contact Hours.  A copy of the completed Continuing Education Certificate must also be submitted.  Attendance for the entire program is required to earn Contact Hours.  A copy of the completed Continuing Education Certificate must also be submitted.  This program will provide contact hours to RNs, LPNs, attending the workshop. Ohio Council for Home Care and Hospice is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.  (OBN-001-91) (OH -157, 4/1/2019).

Cancellation

If you cancel your registration prior to five business days before the workshop, you will receive a refund less 25% for administrative costs.  All cancellations must be made in writing.  No refunds for cancellations or exchanges within four business day from the date of the workshop.  Substitutions in keeping with the registration policy (instruction #1) are permitted at any time.  If due to unforeseen circumstances OCHCH must cancel this event, registrants will receive a full refund.
