Therapy Documentation in Home Health Care: Current Concepts, Strategies, and Regulations

Program Summary

Join the Home Care Association of Florida and Douglas Farrell, PT, to learn best practices within the industry and identify potential areas of improvement in your own therapy documentation. Are you a better therapist than your notes indicate? By attending this webinar, you will have the opportunity to take a critical look at things like:

  • The therapy you delivered and the documentation you didn’t;
  • You’re only as good as your documentation says you are;
  • Providing better care through excellent documentation;
  • And, more!

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Develop a documentation strategy
  • Describe requirements for home health treatment documentation
  • Differentiate a “good” goal from “bad”
  • Understand the need for objective measures and demonstrate how to find them
  • Explain how to appropriately document Medicare’s 30-Day reassessment requirement
  • Explain how to appropriately document assistant supervision
  • Understand how therapy documentation relates to the 5-star rating system and Value-Based Purchasing (VBP)
