Get Ready for Electronic Visit Verification

EVV Educational Opportunities

Starting January 8, 2018, ODM will require all home care providers for State Plan Home Health Aide, State Plan Home Health Nursing, Private Duty Nursing (PDN), Ohio Home Care Waiver Nursing, Ohio Home Care Waiver Personal Care Aide, Home Care Attendant, and RN Assessment to use an Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system. If you provide any of these services you must use a state approved EVV system or you will not get paid for that service.

OCHCH has two webinar opportunities available to help agencies prepare.

Scared Straight - What Home Care Agencies Need To Know About Ohio's Mandatory EVV System ON DEMAND Webinar - This free recording provides an overview of the state's new EVV system and the impact this will have on business operations of home care providers. You can watch the webinar online by clicking here and the slides for the presentation are available here

If you plan to use an alternate EVV system, please contact the EVV Customer Care line at 1 (855) 805-3505 by September 14, 2017. ODM requires that alterative EVV systems be approved by November 8, 2017, which is 60 days before the Go-Live Date. If you have not contacted the EVV Customer Care line by September 14, 2017 to start the approval process, it will be difficult to meet the November deadline, and you will have to use the Sandata system even if you eventually plan to use an alternative system.
