OCHCH in Washington D.C., NAHC Fly-in for Home Health & Hospice

This April, we were incredibly excited to attend the annual Washington D.C. fly-in hosted by the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC). Our thanks to NAHC for organizing the event, and to Zach Holzapfel and his team at Hicks Partners for their work streamlining our visit.

Ohio was well represented by our delegation that included OCHCH Board Members Steven Pamer, of Cleveland Clinic Home Care, Christy Dorto with National Church Residences, Catie Bryan with Bella Care Hospice, Greg Davis and his team from Patriot at Home, and Marianne Christman from FirstLight Home Care.

Over the course of one fast-paced, 8-hour day of meetings, we were able to interface with Senator Brown, and Representatives Troy Balderson, Joyce Beatty, Mike Carey, Dave Joyce, Marcy Kaptur, JD Vance, and Brad Wenstrup.

We were able to make a positive impact with all of the offices that we visited by discussing our stance on the looming Medicare cut, palliative care, expansion into hospice, the 80-20 Provision within the Medicaid Access rule, and so much more.

We will be holding a special online federal advocacy roundtable soon to highlight the initiatives we spoke about in Washington and the feedback we received.

Do not hesitate to send us your feedback and questions. Thank you.
