The Ohio Council for Home Care & Hospice is delighted to announce a $2 million Ohio Higher Education Grant awarded to the Center for Community Based Care to strengthen and grow Ohio’s home care nursing workforce! Today we recognize National Caregivers Day — a time to honor the millions of individuals who provide essential care and support across our communities. At the Ohio Council for Home Care & Hospice, we remain committed to advancing policies that strengthen the caregiver workforce, expand access to resources, and ensure sustainable reimbursement for care in the home. The Ohio Council for Home Care & Hospice put tremendous thought and intentionality into designing next year’s Education Pass. The most exciting change for 2026 is a lower price for you. Smaller agencies will save $1,000 compared to 2025 and mid-size and larger agencies save $500! We are all looking for ways to reduce ED visits, cost of care, and hospitalizations – meaning positive outcomes for our patients while performing at our best for HH-VBP scoring. One of the easiest ways to do this is by ensuring patients that would benefit from a flu shot, receive a flu shot.
